Embed Playlists in Blog Posts
Any playlist, including ones created by other users, can be easily embedded in a blog post (or any web page) simply by cutting-and-pasting some HTML code. You have control over display paremeters (such as size and scrolling) as well as colors and styles (see below). Embeded playlists are a great way to show off a list of music - each song links back to the playlist, album or artist page on Mixlister so your visitors can further explore the music the playlist. To add a playlist to your blog, click the "Add to a Blog" button on the playlist's main page and follow the directions.

Invite Readers to Contribute
You can invite your blog readers to contribute songs to a playlist you create. By making a playlist "Open", any user can add a song or vote on a song already in the playlist (songs are listed in order of votes). This is a great way to allow your readers to get involved in creating a playlist for a certain theme or an easy to manage a "Top Ten Songs of Something Something" list. Anyone can easily see who contributed a song to a playlist and how many votes it currently has. To enable this feature, when creating a playlist, set the Playlist Type to "Open".

Custom Playlist Styles
Any playlist can be easily customized to match the style of your blog or theme. Background colors, font sizes, font colors, images, spacing and layout can all be controlled with the easy-to-use style editor. For advanced users, complete CSS stylesheets can be created, edited and reused. Playlists retain their stylings even when embedded in blogs or other websites. To customize a playlist and edit its style, click the "Customize Template" button on your playlist's main page.

Earn Money with Your Blog
You can earn money by promoting songs and playlists on your blog. With affiliate agreements with Amazon.com and iTunes you earn a commission every time someone clicks on a music link in your blog and then buys the song or CD. Its really easy to set up. Simply enter your Amazon and/or iTunes affiliate code in the space provided on the "Add Playlist to a Blog" screen.
